Auto-Suggest Journal Tool

Low riskExact public inventory row

Description

It can be challenging and time-consuming for NCHS staff to research journals and gather the pertinent information to guide a decision of which journal to target for publication. Important information to consider when identifying a target journal includes the journal’s field or subject matter, word limits, formatting and submission guidelines, whether the journal is open access, the impact factor, and acceptance rate. Existing tools use keyword searching, term frequencies, and word similarity scoring to identify potential journal matches, but AI presents the potential for a more effective approach that can consider more factors.

Detailed example

The tool will output a list of the top matching journals along with key information about each journal, such as the field or subject matter of the journal, word limit, whether the journal is open access, impact factor, and acceptance rate.

AI / analytics pattern
