Improve Veteran care by increasing access to diagnosis and treatment of Veterans at high risk for sleep apnea, a condition that is not recognized in an estimated 80-90% of people who have it but poses significant negative impact on quality of life, productivity, sleep satisfaction, daytime fatigue, motor vehicle accidents, hypertension, and possibly other comorbidities(associations via observational trials of sleep apnea and cardiovascular morbidity and mortality) The AI solution predicts a patient's risk of Sleep Apnea. Clinicians use this information to increase access to diagnosis and treatment of patients at high risk for sleep apnea. A data pipeline, not a person, gathers the data and a LLM summarizes the information. Outputs are graded by humans to determine accuracy.
