VA CART Bleeding Risk Model
Description
The VA CART bleeding risk model is based on logistic regression, using baseline clinical and procedural variables to predict post-Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (PCI) in-hospital bleeding events. The model is available to facilitate risk stratification at the point of care. It is in operations and maintenance.
Detailed example
Probability of post-PCI bleed prior to hospital discharge
AI / analytics pattern
Classical/Predictive Machine Learning: Models trained on data to make predictions or classifications based on identified patterns or relationships.
Automation level / stage
c) Deployed – The use case is being actively authorized or utilized to support the functions or mission of an agency.
Expected benefit
The model is available to facilitate risk stratification at the point of care. The outputs of the AI systems is an additional resource for care providers.
