Description
An OIG draft finding identified a significant number of purchase requests where the "Other" UPCs were used instead of the IT related UPCs that would trigger an IT Approval. This misclassification undermines OCIO's ability to track IT spending
Detailed example
The correct UPC will be provided to the requestor and used on the Purchase Request in FBMS. Longer term solution would be for the auto generation of the Purchase request with the correct UPC pre-populated on the PR. It is also, still imperative that the FBMS user responsible for the PR must also validate the UPC as well as the IT Approver.
