OTA Automated Passenger Screening Gate System
Description
Increase efficiency and security of Automated Passenger Screening
Detailed example
The AI system initiates an AIT scan when the passenger is in the optimum position. Depending on the results of the AIT scan the systems interlock control unit ensures that both doors do not open simultaneously, and the settings are configurable for TSA to determine system operation. The Dormakaba V60 doors are composed of glass, reach a maximum height of approximately 3.2 feet, and can be attached to the entrance and exit of a R&S QPS201. The V60 doors open automatically following the completion of a successful scan or remain closed if the scan was unsuccessful.the passenger would be routed either for additional screening or to the re-composure area to claim their accessible property and transit into the sterile area.
AI / analytics pattern
Classical/Predictive Machine Learning: Models trained on data to make predictions or classifications based on identified patterns or relationships.
Automation level / stage
a) Pre-deployment – The use case is in a development or acquisition status.
Expected benefit
The purpose is to manage passenger flow while reducing human interaction by using AI to assess body positioning and automatically initiate the screening process when the passenger is in the optimum position. Provide positive control of passengers transitioning from the Non-Sterile to the Sterile side of the checkpoint via the QPS201 On-Person Screening (OPS) system, enhancing the security of the checkpoint environment and improving efficiency.
